Just like Old No.7 and Single Barrel, Gentleman Jack is charcoal mellowed before going into the barrel. But then it takes another trip through charcoal once its reached maturity. This extra ‘blessing’ gives Gentleman Jack its exceptionally smooth finish. Jack Daniel toyed with double mellowing, but due to limitations back then he never quite perfected it.
Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7 is a premium Tennessee Whiskey. A warm amber colour with aromas of sweet vanilla, this is a smooth, full-bodied whiskey, with flavours of orange, brown sugar and spice, and a long rich finish.
